A representative of Lithuanian Airports, Martynas Jaugelavičius, has confirmed to ELTA that 6 flights would be scrapped on Friday, including 3 arrivals and 3 departures, and one on Saturday, the latter being a flight to Frankfurt.

A total of 29 flights between Vilnius and Frankfurt have been called off this week due to Lufthansa pilot walkout.

Lithuanian Airports previously stated that 10 flights were cancelled on 13–14 April and 12 more on 15–16 April.

The affected passengers and those planning trips are advised to follow official information provided by Lufthansa.

As reported, the Lufthansa pilot strike organised by the trade union Vereinigung Cockpit is related to remuneration disputes, including the company’s pension system and regional subsidiary CityLine staff wages.

This is the fourth strike at the company group this year.

Six flights were cancelled between Vilnius and Frankfurt on 10 April due to Lufthansa cabin crew strike.
