Georgia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili held a meeting with EU Ambassador Pavel Herczynski, APA’s local bureau reports.

During the meeting, dissatisfaction was expressed regarding the ambassador’s statements about Georgia made at an event held in Brussels.

The foreign minister noted that Brussels’ current policy, actions and statements toward Tbilisi undermine trust between Georgia and the EU and harm the partnership.

The minister said that Brussels’ actions can only be assessed as steps aimed at further polarizing Georgian society and promoting a radical agenda.

Bochorishvili emphasized that the Georgian authorities are ready for constructive dialogue and expect a fair and respectful approach from the EU.

Note that Pavel Herczynski recently stated that Georgia is at a crossroads. According to the ambassador, Georgia must not be allowed to return to a dark period marked by civil war, poverty, deprivation, and corruption.
