The Stoughton Public Library will feature a special event featuring one of Stoughton’s own.

“Mission to Oslo with Tom Loftus,” is set for 2-3 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at the library mezzanine.

Loftus, the former ambassador to Norway, will talk about his memoir “Mission to Oslo: Dancing with the Queen, Dealmaking with the Russians, Shaping History.” Registration is not required for this free program, recommended for adults as well as older teens.

From May 8-23, the Stoughton Public Library will display some photos and information about Loftus’s ancestors and their journey here from Norway, photos of him in his role as ambassador and the Chief of Mission flag he received from the State Department when he completed his mission in Norway.
