Berlin Brothersvalley earned the top seed in the District 5 Class 1A softball playoffs.
The defending champion Mountaineers will host the winner of Wednesday’s No. 5 seed Southern Fulton at No. 4 Northern Bedford County first-round contest at 4:30 p.m. May 22 in a semifinal. Meyersdale is the second seed and will entertain the victor between Tuesday’s No. 3 Shade-Shanksville and sixth-seeded Rockwood first-round contest at 4:30 p.m. May 22. The championship game is slated for May 26.
