Tórshavn in the Faroe Islands will host Pan-ArcticVision 2026, the song contest for the Arctic region.
Pan-ArcticVision 2026 will be held this October in the capital of the Faroe Islands, as the contest returns for a fourth edition. The Faroe Islands will host this year’s contest, having been voted by viewers as the region they most wanted to see host the 2026 edition of the contest.
A call for songs concludes on May 20, with participants welcome to apply from Alaska, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Greenland, Faroe Islands, Sápmi, Northern Norway and Northern Sweden. Additional acts from other regions are expected, but an open call for songs is not being held.
To be eligible to compete in Pan-ArcticVision, songs can be up to 4 minutes in length, not feature lyrics in English, and be professional contributions. The contest is expressly not looking for songs found at the Eurovision Song Contest and encourages applicants to reflect local and northern issues in their lyrics.
The contest is being organised in cooperation with the Norðurlandahúsið à Føroyum/Nordic House Faroe Islands. The winners of Pan-ArcticVision 2025 were:
The most Arctic song – Saina (Yakutia/Sakha Republic)
The song that gives the most feeling of community and togetherness – Linus Johnsen (Northern Norway/Sápmi)
The most revolutionary song – Geðbrigði (Iceland)
Pan-ArcticVision is loosely based on the Eurovision Song Contest and was first held in 2023. The contest aims to bring together the peoples of the Arctic. All of the artists competing in the contest were chosen by cultural organisations across the Arctic.
