Early setback

In front of 5,125 fans at the Stadion am Brentanobad, Niko Arnautis’s side got off to the worst possible start. In just the fourth minute, Lina Altenburg in the Eintracht goal misread the flight of a Lisa Heiseler corner and the ball sailed directly into the back of the net.

Chance for Freigang

Despite going behind, Eintracht took control of the match and on the quarter-hour mark, Rebecka Blomqvist played an inch-perfect square pass across the penalty area for Laura Freigang to run onto, but her first-time shot from eight metres out was saved by Cara Bösl.

Campbell doubles the lead

In the 24th minute, Eileen Campbell dribbled her way into a good position to shoot and then picked her spot from the edge of the area, side-footing home into the bottom left-hand corner to make it 2-0 for the visitors.
