Zalgiris opened the Lithuanian Basketball League playoffs with a dominant 102–82 win over Jonava in Game 1 of the quarterfinal series.
Jonava had a solid start and took an early 11–8 lead, but Zalgiris quickly found its rhythm and closed the opening quarter ahead 22–17 after a three-pointer by Deividas Sirvydis.

The visitors managed to tie the game at 29–29 in the second quarter, before the hosts responded with a massive 24–6 run to take full control and head into halftime with a 53–35 advantage.
Moses Wright led the way for Zalgiris with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks, while shooting efficiently from the field and the free-throw line. He also finished with the best plus-minus on the team at +31 in only 18 minutes on the floor.
Sylvain Francisco sparked the offense during the key second-quarter stretch, while Edgaras Ulanovas and Azuolas Tubelis provided valuable support on both ends of the floor.
Zalgiris pushed the lead to 77–52 entering the fourth quarter and never looked back, despite a short Jonava run early in the final period. The defending champions now take a 1–0 lead in the best-of-three quarterfinal series.
Up for taking the team to dinner, Dustin? 😅
