CONCORD, N.H. —
A man shot and injured by police Thursday night in Milan allegedly approached officers with a knife, investigators said.
The Attorney General’s Office said Zachary Gagne, 37, approached officers from the Berlin Police Department outside a home on West Milan Road after police were called to remove him from the home.
Officials said one of the responding officers fired a gun during that interaction, and Gagne was injured. Gagne is hospitalized with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
No officers were injured during the incident, officials said.

The officers were wearing body cameras at the time, and that footage is being reviewed by investigators, the Attorney General’s Office said.
The identity of the officer who fired will be released after a formal interview is conducted, likely next week, officials said.
