Amsterdam RABOBANK won the Hamburg Challenger 2026 and secures a spot in Ulaanbaatar
Worthy de Jong led the Amsterdam RABOBANK team to its first victory in the Pro Circuit in 2026. On May 23, the Amsterdam club triumphed at the FIBA 3×3 Hamburg Challenger, defeating the French team Toulouse with a score of 21-16 in a tense final.

This victory secured spots for the RABOBANK, Toulouse, and Aachen (Germany) teams in the qualification for the FIBA 3×3 World Tour, which will take place in Ulaanbaatar. Throughout the tournament, the Amsterdam team showcased their ambitions, finishing the competition with an impressive performance.

Starting with confident victories over Los Angeles (USA) and Utrecht (Netherlands), RABOBANK overcame the resistance of the Canadian team Toronto in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, the team demonstrated its strength by defeating Fuengirola (Spain) with a brilliant performance.

In the final, RABOBANK again showed its balance and physical power. Jan Drissen became the key player, scoring 7 points, while Brian Alberts secured the victory in the crucial moments of the match. Worthy de Jong, who was named MVP of the tournament, finished with a player value rating of 38.2 and 32 points, including 7 successful free throws.

This victory marked an important milestone for Amsterdam RABOBANK in the 2026 season, boosting the team’s confidence ahead of upcoming challenges.
The Toulouse team, under the guidance of Franck Seguela and Hugo Suhara, also demonstrated its strength, confidently progressing through the group stage and defeating Bochum SPARKASSE (Germany) and Marijampole MANTINGA (Lithuania), as well as beating Barcelona (Spain) in the quarterfinals. The most memorable moment was the comeback in the semifinals against Aachen, when the team managed to make an 8-0 run and win with a score of 21-17.

The final match between RABOBANK and Toulouse began with a tense struggle, with both teams exchanging points. However, RABOBANK was able to create a lead thanks to the efforts of Jan Drissen, and then their defense strengthened, allowing the team to control the game. Toulouse attempted to close the gap, but RABOBANK maintained its advantage, finishing the match with a victory of 21-16.

Thus, RABOBANK (Netherlands), Toulouse (France), and Aachen (Germany) officially secured spots in the FIBA 3×3 World Tour in Ulaanbaatar. Aachen, in particular, surprised everyone by reaching the semifinals of the tournament thanks to the brilliant performances of its players.
