After receiving 756 entries in the LEGO Ideas Pokemon TCG challenge, the review board has whittled down the finalists to 5 incredible entries that could be a future LEGO Ideas set!
Voting is now open for the LEGO Ideas fan community to help influence which one of these 5 designs will be transformed into an official Pokemon TCG-themed LEGO Ideas set! You can now cast your vote on the LEGO Ideas website, and voting closes on 11 June 2026, with the winner to be revealed in early 2027.
These 5 shortlisted entries are phenomenal and I can’t imagine it was easy for the LEGO Ideas Review Board to come up with these 5 designs. It’ll be really fascinating to see what gets picked, as I imagine that it’ll need to align not only with Pokemon TCG’s plans, but also what else LEGO has in mind for Pokemon.
My vote is pretty clear here. Gyarados has been one of my favourites and a staple in all my Red, Blue, Yellow runs, so my vote is going towards good ole Gary. I do think Gyarados and Mew will be the most popular due to Gen 1 (and Pokemon TCG collector bias), but I also think that Rowlet could be a dark horse as well, especially if there’ll be an exclusive card printed and included in the sets.
LEGO and Pokemon TCG of course have not confirmed if there’ll be a card included in retail sets, but I will be very, very surprised if there won’t be one.
Anyway, can’t wait to find out the results on this! Congratulations to all the shortlisted entries and good luck!
You can vote for the LEGO Ideas Pokemon TCG design until 11 June 2026!
