LEGO have unveiled a new Technic Formula 1 car, with 42240 Aston Martin Aramco AMR25 F1 Car joining the 1:8 F1 car collection.

This 1,547-piece model lets you build Aston Martin’s 2025 season challenger, which finished 7th on the Constructor’s standing, joining the 42228 McLaren MCL39 F1 Car which was released earlier this year.

Unfortunately, like the McLaren, the back tyres still aren’t accurate, and unfortunately for LEGO, it’s a bizarre time to release an Aston Martin-themed set, given the struggles the team has phased in the 2026 season, with the rotating roster of Team Principals, Honda powertrain issues, all of which has resulted in Aston Martin Aramco sitting dead last on the constructor’s standings, with 0 points.

I also think the colour isn’t the best match to Aston Martin’s iconic Racing Green colour, which doesn’t exist in LEGO’s colour palette unfortunately, so it also kinda looks like a Kick Sauber from afar? This is such a weird release, and I can’t imagine that many fans (even Aston Martin fans) will be happy with this.
