The Danish shipping company Maersk continues to advance its fleet renewal strategy with the addition of the dual-fuel vessel “Tema Maersk”. This is the third medium-sized vessel of its kind, following the entry into service of the vessels “Tangier Maersk” and “Tauranga Maersk”.
The vessel “Tema Maersk” (IMO 1029340), flagged in Denmark, was launched last week at the Yangzijiang shipyard in China. Company representatives, partners, and suppliers gathered to welcome the new member of the fleet.
Maritime sustainability sets the course for Maersk
The new container ship measures 274 meters in length and 46 meters in width and is key to achieving more efficient and environmentally friendly maritime operations.
With this addition, Maersk strengthens its commitment to a new generation of vessels designed to reduce environmental impact and improve operational flexibility through the use of alternative fuels.
