A high-profile rally in Stockholm brought government figures together with the Ukrainian community, unveiling a new unity center and renewing calls for greater international pressure.
In Stockholm, a traditional weekly demonstration in support of Ukraine took place, featuring Ilona Havronska, Deputy Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine on European integration issues, and Johan Forssell, Sweden’s Minister for Migration.
According to an official statement by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, the event took place in the capital of Sweden.
Ilona Havronska expressed gratitude for the support of Ukraine from the Swedish government and society, underscoring the value of every act of solidarity felt by Ukrainians both at home and abroad.

Addressing those present, the deputy minister spoke about the consequences of another massive attack carried out by the Russian Federation during the night of June 14 to 15, and urged strengthening sanctions, political, diplomatic, and legal pressure on the Russian Federation.
Johan Forssell emphasized that supporting Ukraine remains one of the Swedish government’s key foreign policy priorities – politically, economically, and humanitarianly. The minister also noted the contribution of Ukrainians who are in Sweden under temporary protection, stressing that many of them have successfully integrated into Swedish society: they are learning the language, working, and becoming part of local communities.
The Ministry of Social Policy added that weekly rallies in support of Ukraine have been held in Sweden since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
In Stockholm on June 15, the official opening of the Center for Ukrainian Unity took place.
The event in the Swedish capital continues to demonstrate strong support for the Ukrainian community and bilateral solidarity between Ukraine and Sweden, particularly for Ukrainians who are in the country under temporary protection, and underscores the importance of joint efforts in supporting Ukraine.
