Ørsted have just announced they have signed a long-term PPA with Gode
Wind 1
partnership,
in Germany.

This marks a major milestone for the company, reinforcing their aim to
support the entire renewable energy life cycle from start to finish.


Gode Wind 1 project is a large windfarm located in the Northsea, 50km northwest
of Norderney. It has 30MW of capacity made up of  55 Siemens wind
turbines with an individual capacity of 6 MW, making it a valuable contributor
to Europe’s renewable energy targets.


This agreement has been developed with Ørsted and their partners and plans
to span over a seven-year period. The PPA with reinforce Ørsteds position
as a global leader in the development and construction of offshore windfarms,
while demonstrating long term sustainability frameworks.
