New Hampshire woman hits bear on Interstate 89 in Berlin, VT
BERLIN, Vt. —
A New Hampshire woman crashed into a bear while driving on Interstate 89 in Berlin on Monday.
Vermont State Police said the woman, 57, from Nashua, was driving north near Exit 7 around 9 p.m. when a bear ran into the road.
The driver told police she was unable to swerve her vehicle out of the way in time and hit the animal. The bear was not killed in the crash, and the woman was not injured, police said. Her vehicle had minor front-end damage.
No other cars were involved in the crash.
