Ørsted is developing the Dadu 2 Offshore wind project, in Taiwan.


The project is being advanced in support of the government’s green energy
policy and wider environmental goals.


The proposed wind farm area will cover 234.6 square kilometres and is located
around 38 kilometres from the Changhua coastline.


Each turbine will have an estimated 14 MW to 22 MW in Individual capacity,
with total installed capacity not exceeding 2 GW.


The report states that export cables are planned to make landfall north
of Taiwan Power Company’s designated Changhua offshore wind cable corridor.



Power generated by the project will then be routed through an onshore substation
before connecting to Taiwan Power Company facilities in Changhua or future
grid infrastructure.
