News Release
WARSAW – On Saturday morning, Aug. 29, Fellowship Missions and Cloud 9 Multisport will host Warsaw’s first annual Run for Hope half-marathon and 5K, a fundraising event benefiting Fellowship Missions.
With nearly 200 runners registered, Fellowship Missions wants the community to be aware of which areas will be affected on race day.
Buffalo Street will be closed between Center Street and Market Street from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. to host the races and food truck vendors. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. at The Gathering Place, 123 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw. Both races will start at 8 a.m., with the start and finish line near The Gathering Place on Buffalo Street.
All participants will run the same course out and around Edgewood Middle School before returning downtown. 5K runners will split off and head downtown at Main Street, while half-marathon participants will continue west toward the Greenway Trails, passing the City-County Athletic Complex to the end of the Greenway across from Crazy Egg Café. This route will also take half-marathon participants out to Thrive Farms, a ministry of Fellowship Missions. Participants have four hours to complete the half-marathon event.
