A serious two-vehicle collision has resulted in the closure of the R33 near Amsterdam.
According to information received from Ermelo Towing Services, several patients were involved in the crash, but no fatalities have been reported at this stage.
Emergency personnel are currently on the scene, while the affected section of the R33 remains closed to traffic.
Motorists travelling through the area are advised to avoid the scene and use alternative routes.
A photograph circulating in a local WhatsApp group shows significant damage to the two vehicles involved in the collision.
The exact circumstances of the crash and the extent of the patients’ injuries have not yet been confirmed.
