On September 7 in Riga, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, met with representatives of leading Latvian think tanks.
During the meeting, Minister Mirzoyan presented developments in the South Caucasus, the work underway to maintain and further develop a favorable security environment around Armenia, normalize and/or develop relations with countries in the region, and deepen existing partnerships outside the region.
Ararat Mirzoyan presented Armenia’s approaches to further institutionalizing peace. Reference was also made to initiatives aimed at promoting regional connectivity, including the implementation of the TRIPP project.
Reference was also made to Armenia’s balanced and balancing foreign policy, as well as the agenda for expanding strategic partnerships. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia emphasized the importance the Republic of Armenia attaches to further developing cooperation with the Baltic countries in specific areas, as well as to exchanging experience in cooperation with the EU.
Minister Mirzoyan also presented Armenia’s work to diversify economic ties and strengthen economic resilience.
