Norwegian authorities have launched a manhunt for a suspect captured on surveillance footage following an explosion at the U.S. embassy in Oslo over the weekend.

The blast, which occurred early Sunday morning, damaged a section of the embassy’s entrance and sent plumes of smoke billowing into the surrounding area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Officials suspect the incident may be connected to ongoing tensions in the Middle East and confirmed that an improvised explosive device (IED) was used in the attack. Norway’s government has vowed a comprehensive investigation to uncover the perpetrator.
