Flight operations at Berlin’s airport were suspended on Wednesday evening for about half an hour after a report of an unidentified flying object, airport authorities said.
“Operations have since resumed,” an airport spokesman told dpa. “We had to temporarily halt flight operations.”
Germany’s federal police said the sighting could not be confirmed. Officers conducting a close-range search did not find a drone or any other suspicious object.

The airport spokesman said the report came from an employee who noticed something unusual in the sky while observing from a hangar.
As a precaution, no takeoffs or landings took place for about 30 minutes starting at 6:40 pm (1740 GMT), which the spokesman said is standard procedure in such cases.
