BERLIN — Town officials are beginning public discussions on a proposed $112.3 million budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year that would increase spending for town services and schools while raising the local property tax rate.

The Town of Berlin’s annual budget hearing will be held Tuesday, March 31 at 6 p.m. at McGee Middle School auditorium. Residents will also have a chance to comment during the annual budget hearing.

After that meeting, the Board of Finance is expected to send a final budget recommendation to the Town Council. The council is scheduled to vote on the budget April 7, with the townwide budget referendum set for April 28.
