DSV, a Danish logistics giant, is ending its operations at a Dallas County facility and laying off nearly 400 employees, according to a WARN Act notice.
The layoffs will impact 391 workers, the filing said, including 278 forklift drivers, 28 warehouse operators, 19 drivers and and 19 supervisors, as per a notice sent by a company executive and reviewed by The Dallas Morning News. The employees will lose their jobs on April 30 or in the first half of May. None of the employees are represented by a union.
The impacted employees work at the 3PL Logistics Facility in Wilmer, in southeast Dallas County. The warehouse is “a key hub for distribution and logistics operations,” according to a description appearing on the website for Unisco, a global shipping company, because of its location at the intersection of I-20 and Highway 167. The facility is located a few miles east of the Lancaster Airport, about 20 miles southeast of Downtown Dallas.
It was unclear why DSV, one of the world’s largest logistics companies, was ending its operations at the site. Representatives for the company did not respond to an inquiry from The News on Thursday.
The WARN notice, which was sent to both the Texas Workforce Commission and the mayor of Wilmer on April 2, added that DSV expected “most, if not all” of the impacted employees would subsequently be offered employment by another company that will begin operating at the same facility.
Under Texas law, businesses are required to file WARN, or Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, notices 60 days before implementing mass layoffs. In the first quarter of 2026, according to a review of the notices by The News, around 1,100 North Texas employees received layoff notices — less than half the number who were issued layoff notices in the last quarter of 2025.
