The airport in Greenland’s capital, Nuuk, was evacuated on Tuesday following a bomb threat, leading to the arrest of one individual, according to local police.
Authorities, pressed by Reuters for comment, declined to reveal if any hazardous items had been discovered at the site and offered no additional statements on the situation.
This type of occurrence is notably rare in Greenland, a large semi-autonomous Arctic island that is part of the Danish Kingdom.
