BERLIN, Germany – Gonzaga commit Jack Kayil earned a huge honor today in his home country, as the German Bundesliga announced Kayil is the U-22 Player of the Year winner.
The ALBA Berlin star earned the award with over 93% of the vote. He averages 12.3 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game across 21 minutes per game.
Notable winners of this award include NBA All-Star Franz Wagner and 13-year NBA veteran Dennis Schroeder.
Next for Kayil is his decision between the NBA Draft Combine and the Bundesliga playoffs, happening simultaneously next week.
Kayil has until June 13 to officially withdraw from the NBA Draft process and make his commitment to Gonzaga official.
