(NewsNation<\/a>) \u2014 Bricks & Minifigs has offered to repay the family behind a missing Lego collection and closed the Oregon store involved in the scandal <\/a>that\u2019s gone viral online.<\/p>\n

CEO Ammon McNeff announced in a now-deleted\u00a0blog<\/a>\u00a0post Thursday that he\u2019s reached out to Bryan Mansell to make a deal. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe will ensure you are compensated for anything unaccounted for,\u201d writes McNeff. \u201cWe\u2019re ready when you are.\u201d<\/p>\n

The resale company also said it shut down the Salem, Oregon, store behind the scandal and parted ways with its owners, Brandon Best and Joshua Johnson. The company cited the \u201cdevastating social media campaign\u201d as the reason.<\/p>\n

It also shared it has evidence the previous owner had three sets of books regarding the Lego collection, \u201call with different accounts of what was sold.\u201d<\/p>\n

The situation began when Mansell said he entered into a consignment agreement in November 2023 to sell his family\u2019s \u201cStar Wars\u201d Lego collection, reportedly worth $200,000. The agreement was that the store would sell items from the collection and split the proceeds. Any unsold inventory would remain with Mansell.<\/p>\n

At the time, the Salem franchise was owned by Benjamin Gorman and Chrystal Law. Bricks & Minifigs claims it was never told about the agreement, calling it an \u201cunauthorized personal consignment contract.\u201d<\/p>\n

Missing $200K Lego collection at center of dispute<\/p>\n

When Mansell returned in 2024 to check on the collection\u2019s status, he learned the store was under the control of Best and Johnson. At that point, Mansell asked for his property back, which Best and Johnson said they were unaware of and did not have.<\/p>\n

Looking for help, Mansell reached out to YouTuber Benjamin Schneider<\/a>, known online as \u201cReckless Ben.\u201d He started creating videos about the situation on Mansell\u2019s behalf, accusing the Bricks & Minifigs franchise of stealing.<\/p>\n

The story went viral after Schneider was arrested twice while attempting to serve legal papers on franchise executive Joshua Johnson at his home in American Fork, Utah. Schneider posted multiple videos on his YouTube about the incident, including footage from police body cameras.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Schneider joined \u201cJesse Weber Live\u201d<\/a>, claiming new\u00a0unredacted body camera footage\u00a0he shared came from a hacker who stole it from the Utah police department. However, the department says it released the footage itself \u201cto provide transparency and address misinformation currently circulating online.\u201d<\/p>\n

YouTuber amplifies case with viral videos<\/p>\n

Schneider says the footage<\/a> shows officers searching for possible charges to bring against him. In one exchange, an officer can be heard saying police were \u201cready and willing to arrest\u201d him for \u201cdigital stalking\u201d because he was \u201cusing electronic means for communication and coordinating.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bricks & Minifigs has filed a lawsuit against Schneider, claiming he created the online content to harass and injure. It also claims this was a form of racketeering. He\u2019s also being charged with stalking Johnson and targeted residential picketing.<\/p>\n

Schneider says these claims are just the beginning.<\/p>\n
