The ship also hit the harbor pier, three lampposts, a stone block, and caused damage on the opposite side of the harbor. A distress flare was triggered during the collision.<\/p>\n<p>The sailboat belonged to a German couple. They had to jump from their boat when the crash happened but escaped without injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The cargo ship is registered in Antigua and Barbuda and had arrived in Kors\u00f8r from Wismar in Germany. There was no pilot boat accompanying the ship at the time, which is unusual for vessels having difficulty entering a harbor.<\/p>\n<p>On 9 June, police confirmed that the ship\u2019s first officer was arrested on suspicion of being intoxicated while responsible for navigation.
