The lineup for its six juried competition sections features 74 titles, \u201chand-picked from thousands of submissions from around the world,\u201d including 53 world premieres, 17 international premieres, and four European premieres.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 edition introduces the Fipresci Award, presented by the International Federation of Film Critics, for which 12 films in the Dox:award Competition are nominated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are living through a period in which the frameworks that once felt stable \u2013 political, moral, even cognitive \u2013 are shifting beneath our feet. Institutions are tested, conflicts intensify, and new technologies challenge our understanding of perception and agency,\u201d said Niklas Engstr\u00f8m, artistic director of Cph:dox. \u201cIn such a moment, documentary cinema becomes more than observation; it becomes a space for sustained attention.
