LEBANON, Ore. – A woman had to be cut out of a heavily damaged car after a crash on Berlin Road this morning, according to Lebanon Fire District officials.<\/p>\n

LFD authorities said they responded to the crash in the 32000 block of Berlin Road at 11:21 a.m. on June 10. An off-duty volunteer firefighter with Lebanon Fire District arrived before emergency crews and started helping the trapped woman. Two other people in the car, a man and a child, had already gotten out.<\/p>\n

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to free the woman in less than 10 minutes. All three people in the car were taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.<\/p>\n

The crash pulled in every available Lebanon Fire District unit. According to Lebanon Fire District, the department called in off-duty and volunteer firefighters to cover stations and keep emergency services running for the rest of the community.<\/p>\n

While crews worked the crash scene, another medical emergency happened in the district. Lebanon Fire volunteers and an ambulance from Albany Fire Department responded to that call.<\/p>\n

Berlin Road was closed during the emergency operations. Lebanon Police Department and the Linn County Sheriff’s Office helped with traffic control and managing the scene.<\/p>\n
