According to the company’s incident update, certain patient personal data from trial participation was compromised. The company stated that this information is not directly linked to any patients by name or other direct identifiers. “Information about identity would therefore require access to underlying information, identifying patients by name etc. This information was not exposed. We therefore do not consider the incident to enable any third party to identify participants in our clinical trials,” according to Novo Nordisk.

“As part of our response, multiple security measures have been taken, including temporarily taking certain internal IT systems offline to protect our environment. We are working to bring the affected systems back online in a controlled and safe manner; however, we acknowledge this process takes time,” Novo Nordisk stated in its alert. “While our investigation and response are ongoing, we have discovered that certain non-public data, including personal data, were copied externally without authorization. We are informing the impacted parties as appropriate.”

Novo Nordisk stated that it does not believe that there are any current risks to patients but has asked them to remain “vigilant” and to report anything unusual to the company that they believe may be related to this breach.

Read the latest incident update from Novo Nordisk.

June 11, 2026/by AdministratorTags: clinical trials, cybersecurity, IT security, Novo Nordisk, patient information, personal data

      https://www.pharmalive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/alert.jpg
600
600

      Administrator

       https://www.europesays.com/dk/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Pharmalive_4c-300×37.png

    Administrator2026-06-11 14:50:512026-06-11 14:50:51Novo Nordisk flags IT security incident

  Takeda’s AI-designed pill bests BMS’ Sotyktu in head-to-head psoriasis …

Scroll to top

!- – Start GPT Tag – ->   <!- – End GPT Tag – ->  …

[271
15044,3499,53842,272,53843,41616
post-105866","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-novo-nordisk","tag-clinical-trials","tag-cybersecurity","tag-it-security","tag-novo-nordisk","tag-patient-information","tag-personal-data
["GET
