Also on June 7, Novo Nordisk A\/S (NYSE:NVO) announced new real-world evidence in adults with type 2 diabetes treated with once-weekly semaglutide 1 mg. The analysis compared escalation to semaglutide 2 mg with switching to tirzepatide. By one year, both groups were associated with similar proportions of patients achieving HbA1c of less than 7%, while patients on semaglutide 2 mg had a statistically significantly higher event rate for achieving weight loss greater than or equal to 5%.<\/p>\n
