{"id":107171,"date":"2026-06-13T13:02:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-13T13:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/107171\/"},"modified":"2026-06-13T13:02:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-13T13:02:10","slug":"art-exhibition-opens-at-presidential-palace-in-berlin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/107171\/","title":{"rendered":"Art exhibition opens at presidential palace in Berlin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Visitors can spend the next two weeks exploring the rooms of Bellevue Palace, the official residence of Germany&#8217;s president in Berlin ahead of a major refurbishment of the building.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Among the attractions is a pop-up exhibition of contemporary art entitled &#8220;Freiraum Kunst&#8221; (Free Space Art), which opened to the public on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Admission to the exhibition is free, but visitors must book a time slot in advance. The artworks will be on display until June 28.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Bellevue Palace is set to close at the beginning of July for several years of renovation work. More than 20 members of Berlin&#8217;s Academy of Arts are exhibiting their works in the already empty rooms.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Among them is a light installation entitled &#8220;SOS signal&#8221; by the artist Bj\u00f8rn Melhus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A miniature of Steinmeier himself is also on display, created by the artist Karin Sander, as is a painting of the president by El Bocho.
