Pokemon Go and The LEGO Group have announced that they will be continuing their partnership and will roll out bonuses and activations to LEGO Stores in the US, UK, Poland, France, Germany, and Australia, supporting the launch of LEGO Pokemon Smart Play sets in August 2026.

In a blog post on the Pokemon Go website, Pokemon Trainers who visit participating LEGO Store locations between August 3 and September 30, 2026 will get to experience a whole bunch of bonuses, including an opportunity to catch a rare Pikachu with a special LEGO-themed background!

This follows on from Pokemon Go Fest Copenhagen where visitors and trainers in the Danish capital city could experience all sorts of fun LEGO bonuses.

Here’s a brief summary of what to expect:

Raids – One-star Pikachu raids will occur more frequently at participating LEGO Store locations. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one or one with a Special Background!

Presumably, this means that LEGO Stores in US, UK, Poland, France, Germany, and Australia will be turned into temporary Pokemon Gyms.

Stamp Rally – Take part in a special LEGO-themed stamp rally (in-game) during the event! Explore participating LEGO Stores and find designated PokéStops and Gyms to collect stamps, which leads to encounters with Pikachu* that have a Special Background.

Timed Research – Event-themed Timed Research will be available by going to one of the participating LEGO Store locations and opening Pokémon GO.

New Stickers – You’ll be able to get event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops at LEGO Store locations and completing the event Timed Research.

LEGO Pokémon SMART Play – Trainers are invited to enter the LEGO Store to visit in-store Trainer Centers and participate in the fun LEGO Pokémon SMART Play demo.

From August 3 to September 30, 2026, Trainers are invited to enter LEGO Stores in the US, UK, Poland, France, Germany and Australia, to visit in-Store Trainer Centers and participate in the fun LEGO Pokémon SMART Play demo. Participants will receive a unique collectible SMART Play Tag* and a special stamp for their LEGO Passports.

These activities seem to be very similar to the ones activated for Go Fest 2026: Copenhagen, where you could visit different LEGO Stores and Pokestops to complete the LEGO Stamp Rally which would trigger different Pikachu encounters.

For Pokemon Go fans, the most exciting bonus was this special Pikachu with a very cool LEGO Special background. Here’s one that I was lucky enough to Remote Trade for from a friend that was attending Go Fest Copenhagen.

At this stage, it’s unknown if the Special Background for the August LEGO Store activations will be the same as the Copenhagen one, but it would be neat if these were opened up to a slightly wider audience via raids at LEGO Store Gyms.

You could also get these stickers by spinning Pokestops featuring LEGO Pokemon sets.

As a day one PoGo player, I’m super excited to get some of these bonuses especially LEGO Store postcards, and in-game Stickers, as well as some of the freebies such as the Smart Tags. Stay tuned for more information once these roll out in Pokemon Go, and if I can find out if there’ll be any other in-store activations and promos!

To get the latest LEGO news and LEGO Reviews straight in your inbox, subscribe via email, or you can also follow on Google News, or socials on Facebook, Instagram (@jaysbrickblog), Bluesky or subscribe to the Jay’s Brick Blog Youtube channel.

1 response to “Pokemon Go bonuses coming to select LEGO Stores in the US, UK, Poland, France, Germany, and Australia”

June 15, 2026 | 1 Are you a Pokemon Go player?
