{"id":108426,"date":"2026-06-15T17:53:27","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T17:53:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/108426\/"},"modified":"2026-06-15T17:53:27","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T17:53:27","slug":"ozempic-maker-novo-nordisk-says-hackers-breached-it-systems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/108426\/","title":{"rendered":"Ozempic Maker Novo Nordisk Says Hackers Breached IT Systems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk last week disclosed a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to personal data.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Novo Nordisk is a Danish pharmaceutical company renowned for developing treatments for diabetes and weight management, including widely popular drugs such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus, Victoza, and Saxenda, along with a broad lineup of insulin products.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.novonordisk.com\/news-and-media\/latest-news\/incident-update.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">notice<\/a> posted on its website, the company revealed that it recently discovered unauthorized access to a limited number of internal IT systems, including ones that stored personal data.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe incident affected a limited amount of information related to patients participating in some of our clinical trials,\u201d Novo Nordisk said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis information is not directly linked to any patients by name or other direct identifiers. Information about identity would therefore require access to underlying information, identifying patients by name etc. This information was not exposed. We therefore do not consider the incident to enable any third party to identify participants in our clinical trials,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company informed patients that the exposed personal data included a randomly assigned patient ID, information on trial participation, sex, birth year, biomarkers, health or immunogenicity data, and lifestyle factors.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement.
