airBaltic has confirmed that its direct Vilnius-Berlin route will continue into the upcoming winter season, making the service available year-round. The route links Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, with Berlin, the capital of Germany.<\/p>\n
During the winter season, the airline plans to operate up to two flights per week. The service is intended for leisure travellers, business passengers and people visiting friends or relatives.<\/p>\n
According to the airline, the Vilnius-Berlin route will operate on Thursdays and Sundays during the winter timetable. This schedule allows passengers to plan short weekend trips or several-day business visits without a transfer.<\/p>\n
In the current summer season, flights between Vilnius and Berlin operate up to three times per week, on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. The winter schedule reduces the frequency, but the route itself will not be suspended.<\/p>\n

Berlin also offers onward connections to other cities in Germany, across Europe and beyond. This makes the route relevant not only for point-to-point travel, but also for passengers using Berlin as a wider transport connection.<\/p>\n
airBaltic says it is offering 20 direct routes from Vilnius this year. The airline also operates flights from Palanga, a Lithuanian coastal airport, to Riga in Latvia, Amsterdam in the Netherlands and Tenerife in Spain, with the Tenerife route scheduled from October 28.<\/p>\n
The Latvian national airline connects the Baltic states with more than 80 destinations across Europe and beyond. airBaltic, formally Air Baltic Corporation AS, is majority-owned by the Latvian state, which holds 88.37% of voting rights. Deutsche Lufthansa AG owns 10%, while private shareholders hold the remaining 1.63%.<\/p>\n
The airline was founded in 1995 and operates an Airbus A220-300 fleet. In 2025, it became the first European airline to introduce free high-speed SpaceX Starlink internet on its flights, according to the company information included in the announcement.<\/p>\n
