FONDA, N.Y. (WNYT)- A Delmar woman was sentenced June 4 in Montgomery County Court for the death of Cole Sevigny, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney\u2019s (DA) Office.<\/p>\n
Related: One dead, one seriously hurt in one-way crash<\/a><\/p>\n The DA\u2019s office says Veronica Armbruster will spend between two and a third to seven years in prison for hitting and killing Sevigny, who was 25 years old when he died.<\/p>\n New York State Police (NYSP) previously reported that Armbruster hit Sevigny February 19, 2025, on I-90 between Exits 27-28 in Amsterdam. They say Armbruster was driving drunk, going east in the westbound lane, when she hit Sevigny head on.<\/p>\n Armbruster pleaded guilty to second-degree vehicular manslaughter.<\/p>\n NYSP said Armbruster had a blood alcohol concentration twice the legal limit: 0.16%.<\/p>\n Sevigny was taken to St. Mary\u2019s Hospital in Amsterdam, where he was ultimately pronounced dead.
