The Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said that Ukraine\u2019s reconstruction is the “largest economic project” in Europe over the next decade.<\/p>\n
According to him, it includes the restoration of infrastructure destroyed by Russia, the development of institutions, and closer integration of the country into the European Union.<\/p>\n
“Since 2022, Estonia has contributed to Ukraine\u2019s reconstruction through hundreds of projects. Dozens of our companies and organisations are helping every day to rebuild Ukraine and strengthen its resilience,” Tsahkna said.<\/p>\n
He emphasized that hosting the conference in Tallinn is a sign of Estonia\u2019s commitment to continuing long-term support for Ukraine and advancing this process at the international level.<\/p>\n
The Estonian Foreign Minister also said that Tallinn aims to involve other Baltic and Northern European countries (NB8 format) in the preparation and organization of the conference.<\/p>\n
“The NB8 cooperation format enables us to bring together our region\u2019s expertise, experience and resources in order to provide even more effective support to Ukraine and put forward joint initiatives that help accelerate both the reconstruction process and Ukraine\u2019s integration with Europe,” Tsahkna stated.<\/p>\n
