Song submissions are open for four months, with the deadline for songs to be submitted on October 25 at midnight. A total of eight songs will be selected to compete in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2027.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rules of the selection are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Submissions must consist of an audio file and a video file showing the artist performing the song<br \/>\nEither the composer, lyricist or singer must be a Danish citizen or have a strong connection to Denmark e.g. resident in Denmark or in a relationship with a Dane. Those living in the Faroe Islands and Greenland may also register to take part.<br \/>\nSongs must meet the rules of the Eurovision Song Contest and cannot have been performed, published or sold without DR\u2019s consent. If the song has been previously performed in a public setting e.g. concert, radio or television, available on YouTube or streaming platforms or sold, DR must be made aware.<br \/>\nComposers and lyricists can submit multiple songs<br \/>\nSongs can be performed in any language in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, the language that the song will be performed in at Eurovision will be determined with DR<br \/>\nSingers must be 18 years old by the end of May 2027<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2027 will be held on February 13 in the Sydbank Arena in Kolding. MGP, the children\u2019s version of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, will be held in the same venue on February 20. Kolding is located in southern Denmark and is the eighth largest city in the country.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">S\u00f8ren Torpegaard Lund represented Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with \u201cF\u00f8r Vi G\u00e5r Hjem\u201d. To date, Denmark has won the contest on three occasions, the first being in 1963 when Grethe &amp; Jorgen Ingmann performed \u201cDansevise\u201d. Denmark won the contest again in 2000, represented by the Olsen Brothers.
