{"id":118151,"date":"2026-06-29T00:06:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T00:06:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/118151\/"},"modified":"2026-06-29T00:06:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T00:06:14","slug":"denmark-has-not-sought-russian-help-in-danske-bank-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/118151\/","title":{"rendered":"Denmark has not sought Russian help in Danske Bank case"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"text text-block paragraph text-left neo-font-paragraph-xl-reg  yf-18d6y07\" style=\"text-decoration: none; font-style: normal; text-transform: none; text-align: inherit; font-variant-numeric: normal;\">By Teis Jensen  <\/p>\n<p class=\"text text-block paragraph text-left neo-font-paragraph-xl-reg  yf-18d6y07\" style=\"text-decoration: none; font-style: normal; text-transform: none; text-align: inherit; font-variant-numeric: normal;\">COPENHAGEN (Reuters) &#8211; Danish and Estonian regulators have not sought assistance from Moscow in their investigation of a massive money laundering scandal involving Russian and other account holders, Russia&#8217;s financial monitoring service told Reuters on Wednesday.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"text text-block paragraph text-left neo-font-paragraph-xl-reg  yf-18d6y07\" style=\"text-decoration: none; font-style: normal; text-transform: none; text-align: inherit; font-variant-numeric: normal;\">The scandal involves 200 billion euros ($230 billion) in transactions processed by Danske Bank  via its Estonian branch between 2007 and 2015, many of which the Danish lender said last month it thinks are suspicious.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"text text-block paragraph text-left neo-font-paragraph-xl-reg  yf-18d6y07\" style=\"text-decoration: none; font-style: normal; text-transform: none; text-align: inherit; font-variant-numeric: normal;\">&#8220;As of today, we have not received any official request from Estonian or Danish law enforcement agencies or financial intelligence units (for) assistance within the existing international agreements and obligations,&#8221; Rosfinmonitoring said in an email reply to questions from Reuters.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"text text-block paragraph text-left neo-font-paragraph-xl-reg  yf-18d6y07\" style=\"text-decoration: none; font-style: normal; text-transform: none; text-align: inherit; font-variant-numeric: normal;\">Some 23 percent of the incoming funds in the Estonian non-resident portfolio, the centre of the scandal, came from Russia, Danske Bank said in its report last month.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"text text-block paragraph text-left neo-font-paragraph-xl-reg  yf-18d6y07\" style=\"text-decoration: none; font-style: normal; text-transform: none; text-align: inherit; font-variant-numeric: normal;\">&#8220;It is really criticisable that the Danish authorities did not reach out to the Russians.
