Several Eurostar<\/a> services from London<\/a> have been cancelled after a fire near Rotterdam<\/a> Centraal station.<\/p>\n The fire, which has resulted in a power failure, has seen Eurostar services to the Netherlands cancelled until at least Friday, including journeys from London St Pancras to Amsterdam<\/a>.<\/p>\n Eurostar said on its website: \u2018We\u2019re very sorry that, due to a fire near station Rotterdam Centraal, train services across the Netherlands are currently severely disrupted and extremely limited.<\/p>\n \u2018As a result, our trains are subject to significant delays and cancellations, and we\u2019re unfortunately unable to offer alternative travel options.<\/p>\n \u2018This situation will continue until 3rd July 2026. We recommend that you do not attempt to travel to or from the Netherlands until 3rd July. Instead, please cancel your journey or postpone it to a later date.\u2019<\/p>\n The power failure has also caused disruption to all rail services in and around the Dutch city.<\/p>\n Customers with affected journeys can exchange their booking for a different train, for a fee.<\/p>\n Alternatively, affected travellers can cancel completely and claim an e-voucher, which must then be redeemed within 12 months of the date of their original journey.<\/p>\n They can also cancel and claim a cash refund for the value of the ticket.<\/p>\n Those affected have three months from the date they were due to travel to claim.<\/p>\n The area around Rotterdam Centraal is expected to have power restored on the evening of July 2, local media has reported.<\/p>\n In a statement, Eurostar said: \u2018Eurostar services are experiencing disruption across the Netherlands due to an infrastructure issue near Rotterdam, where a fire at a substation caused a loss of power.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u2018As a result, Eurostar trains are subject to significant delays and cancellations.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tLatest London news\t\t\t<\/p>\n To get the latest news from the capital, visit Metro’s London news hub<\/a>.<\/p>\n The brand expressed its \u2018full support\u2019 to passengers affected by the delays and urged passengers headed to Amsterdam or Rotterdam not to make unnecessary journeys.<\/p>\n Trains which are still running, but are affected by delays and diversions, include Netherlands-Brussels-Paris trains which are being rerouted via Utrecht.<\/p>\n This is causing delays of up to one hour.<\/p>\n Arrow Arrow Arrow
