{"id":122012,"date":"2026-07-03T23:35:10","date_gmt":"2026-07-03T23:35:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/122012\/"},"modified":"2026-07-03T23:35:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-03T23:35:10","slug":"warsaw-man-pronounced-death-after-being-struck-by-a-train-police-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/122012\/","title":{"rendered":"Warsaw man pronounced death after being struck by a train | Police\/Fire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Warsaw man died after being run over by a train, the Warsaw Police Department said Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Gabriel Dave De La Cruz, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene about midnight Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The preliminary investigation indicated that De La Cruz was lying on the tracks east-west railroad tracks, east of Argonne Road in Warsaw, when an eastbound train approached.<\/p>\n<p>Railroad personnel told police they attempted to alert De La Cruz; however, he did not move from the tracks and was struck by the train.<\/p>\n<p>Kosciusko County Coroner Tyler Huffer said De La Cruz succumbed to his injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The Kosciusko County Sheriff\u2019s Office Fatal Team was requested to assist with the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Additional responding agencies were the Winona Lake Police Department, Pierceton Police Department, Winona Lake Fire Department and Lutheran EMS.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A Warsaw man died after being run over by a train, the Warsaw Police Department said Friday.
