The Danish royal, whose mum is Tasmanian-born Queen Mary of Denmark<\/a>, finished secondary school on a high, with pictures showing the 19-year-old wearing a white cap while celebrating with her pals and riding through the streets of Hellerup on the back of a truck, a tradition known as studenterk\u00f8rsel.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, prior to taking part in her graduation festivities, the princess donned a sweet tribute to her mother’s Aussie background by wearing a skirt by an Australian brand.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For her official graduation ceremony at \u00d8reg\u00e5rd Gymnasium, Isabella wore a red top, matching red thongs and a long, flowing white skirt by popular Gen-Z label Meshki, which was founded in Sydney in 2013.<\/p>\n

The flattering, high-waisted skirt, which is finished off with buttons on the waistline, retails for $123 online, however it is currently on sale for $103.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Isabella isn’t the only royal who decided to wear Australian labels on the big day, with her mother, Queen Mary, similarly choosing to wear a denim skirt by Aussie designer Zimmermann.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After graduating from high school, Princess Isabella is set to make history, with the young royal confirming in April that she will enlist in the military.<\/a><\/p>\n

She will begin her service in August and will serve for 11 months, making her the first female member of the Danish royal family to do so.<\/a><\/p>\n

The royal will undertake guard duty with the Guardhouse Regiment in Slagelse, and will be following in the footsteps of her older brother, 20-year-old Crown Prince Christian<\/a>, who graduated from the Danish Army\u2019s Lieutenant School last month, and is now officially a second lieutenant in the Royal Danish Army.<\/p>\n

“The princess will be among the first to serve 11 months of military duty,” the Danish Royal Family said in an official statement.<\/p>\n

“His Royal Highness the Crown Prince also served his military duty at the Gardehusarkasernen in Slagelse.”<\/p>\n

According to Fie West, Danish tabloid BT’s entertainment editor, the princess’s decision to enlist comes across as a strong message from the monarchy regarding conscription.<\/p>\n

“Technically, Isabella did not have to do military service, but here the Royal House chooses to take the lead and set a good example,” West said.<\/p>\n
