the Danish Royal Family said in an official statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;His Royal Highness the Crown Prince also served his military duty at the Gardehusarkasernen in Slagelse.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to Fie West, Danish tabloid BT&#8217;s entertainment editor, the princess&#8217;s decision to enlist comes across as a strong message from the monarchy regarding conscription.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Technically, Isabella did not have to do military service, but here the Royal House chooses to take the lead and set a good example,&#8221;
