BERLIN \u2014 Berlin residents are invited to celebrate the nation\u2019s 250th anniversary during the town\u2019s Spirit of America Celebration this Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The evening will include a parade, a public reading of the Declaration of Independence, bell ringers and an ice cream truck at Berlin Town Hall.<\/p>\n
Town officials expect residents to take part in the festivities.<\/p>\n
The celebration will begin at 5 p.m. with a parade led by a reenactor portraying George Washington. Participants will march from Main Street down Kensington Road to Berlin Town Hall, while spectators can watch the parade along the route.<\/p>\n
At 6 p.m., the community will gather at Town Hall for a nationwide reading of the Declaration of Independence to mark the 250th anniversary of its signing.
