The development marks another step forward for Poland\u2019s first high-speed rail project, with the competitive dialogue procedure now moving into a new phase.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-139909\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1783437918_436_CPK-visual.png\" alt=\"Warsaw\u2013\u0141\u00f3d\u017a high-speed section\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.railwaypro.com\/wp\/poland-launches-new-tender-for-a-section-of-the-warsaw-lodz-high-speed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">section is 14.3 km long<\/a> and will connect the Airport Junction and Bolim\u00f3w Junction rail hubs.<\/p>\n<p>The following eight bidders have applied for participation in the competitive dialogue procedure, including six consortia:<\/p>\n<p>Strabag \u2013 Tym \u2013 Bud consortium.<br \/>\nTorpol \u2013 Mirbud \u2013 Kobylarnia consortium.<br \/>\nZUE \u2013 Duna Polska \u2013 Polaqua consortium.<br \/>\nBudimex.<br \/>\nPorr \u2013 Trakcja consortium.<br \/>\nG\u00fclermak \u2013 Track Tec Construction \u2013 Unibep \u2013 Pomorskie Przedsi\u0119biorstwo Mechaniczno-Torowe consortium.<br \/>\nMostostal Warszawa.<br \/>\nIntercor \u2013 NDI \u2013 NDI Sopot consortium.<\/p>\n<p>After reviewing the applications, CPK will select up to five contractors to take part in the dialogue stage, with experience in rail infrastructure projects serving as the main criterion.<\/p>\n<p>The selected contractor will prepare the full technical documentation and build the infrastructure for 14.3 km of high-speed railway designed for speeds of up to 350 km\/h. The contract also covers the construction of 55 road and rail bridges and viaducts, drainage culverts and wildlife crossings, as well as the construction or upgrade of 30 km of roads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn every procurement procedure, our priority is to work with Polish companies, and the fact that they are so well represented among the potential builders of this project is a source of satisfaction. Rail investments offer important long-term contracts that will strengthen the construction sector in Poland and support the national economy,\u201d said Piotr Malepszak, government representative for the CPK project.<\/p>\n<p>Poland\u2019s first high-speed line<\/p>\n<p>At present, two of the six procurement procedures for the construction of the Warsaw\u2013\u0141\u00f3d\u017a high-speed line are already under way. According to CPK representatives, the experience gained through the competitive dialogue will make it possible to launch the remaining contracts through open tenders.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-139908\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1783437919_107_CPK-harta.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are currently running two of the six procurement procedures for the Warsaw\u2013\u0141\u00f3d\u017a high-speed line, Poland\u2019s first high-speed section. The competitive dialogue has provided us with valuable market insights, which will allow us to launch the remaining procedures as open tenders,\u201d said Piotr Rachwalski, a member of the CPK Management Board responsible for rail projects.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, evaluation continues for another section of the Y-shaped corridor, between Kotowice and Airport Junction, while the company is preparing to launch tenders for four other parts of the route:<\/p>\n<p>the 18 km tunnel between Warszawa Zachodnia and Kotowice;<br \/>\nthe 12 km section in the Bolim\u00f3w hub area;<br \/>\nthe 37 km section between Bolim\u00f3w and Brzeziny;<br \/>\nthe 11 km section between Brzeziny and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.railwaypro.com\/wp\/crucial-test-for-the-lodz-rail-tunnel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">\u0141\u00f3d\u017a<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, competitive dialogue procedures were also launched for signalling and traffic control systems, telecoms infrastructure and electrification for the entire Line 85 corridor (Warsaw \u2013 \u0141\u00f3d\u017a \u2013 Sieradz) and Line 86 (Sieradz \u2013 K\u0119pno \u2013 Bierut\u00f3w).<\/p>\n<p>The Warsaw\u2013\u0141\u00f3d\u017a high-speed line is the first segment of the future Y-shaped rail corridor, which will connect Poland\u2019s capital with \u0141\u00f3d\u017a, Pozna\u0144 and Wroc\u0142aw, while also providing fast rail access to the country\u2019s new central airport. Under the current schedule, the Warsaw\u2013\u0141\u00f3d\u017a section is due to open in 2032, with the extension to Pozna\u0144 and Wroc\u0142aw planned for 2035.<\/p>\n<p>Share on: <br \/><a
