New volunteers now complete\u00a015 hours of online training\u00a0followed by\u00a015 hours of instructor-led, in-person training, providing a comprehensive learning experience while accommodating busy schedules.<\/p>\n<p>CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. They build relationships with the children they serve, gather information from those involved in the child\u2019s life, and provide independent recommendations to the court to help ensure children find safe, permanent homes.<\/p>\n<p>The next volunteer training class begins with the online portion on\u00a0August 1.
