Over the past 30 days the shares have gained 16.78%, but they remain 29.22% below the year-ago level and 3.04% in the red since January. The 52-week high of €61.20 from July 2025 still looks distant, though the current price sits comfortably above both the 50-day moving average (€39.51) and the 200-day moving average (€40.60). A relative strength index of 66 signals building momentum without tipping into overbought territory, while annualized 30-day volatility of 30.23% underscores the market’s sensitivity to competitive and pipeline news.

New data presented at the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis congress in Paris are helping to widen the narrative around Novo Nordisk beyond its blockbuster obesity and diabetes franchise. The company released results from the phase?3 extension study FRONTIER4 for Denecimig, an experimental antibody that mimics coagulation factor VIIIa and is administered subcutaneously. The trial covers children, adolescents and adults with haemophilia A, with and without inhibitors, across dosing intervals ranging from weekly to monthly. Denecimig is currently under review by the US Food and Drug Administration.

More striking is the first look at the explorer10 phase?3 study for Concizumab in children under 12 with haemophilia A or B and inhibitors. Prophylactic treatment with Concizumab reduced the estimated annualised bleeding rate to 2.08 events from 11.51 under prior on?demand therapy — a drop of 82%. Although 83% of children reported at least one treatment?emergent adverse event, most were mild. Concizumab is already marketed as Alhemo for older patients; these data support a possible extension to paediatric use. For Novo Nordisk, the haemophilia portfolio — built on decades of research in rare blood disorders — offers a strategic complement to the core metabolic business, even if it remains smaller in scale.

Analysts have taken notice of the broader story. HSBC raised its target on the stock from 280 to 300 Danish kroner while keeping a “Hold” rating, and Danske Bank went further with a 365?kroner target and a buy recommendation. Among 14 analysts polled by S&P Global, the average price target stands at $46.72, with a range of $39.56 to $64.19, and a majority maintain a buy stance. The upbeat sentiment is reinforced by the company’s own buyback programme: since 4 February 2026, Novo Nordisk has repurchased roughly 23 million B?shares at an average price of 270.32 kroner, spending about 6.2 billion kroner. The total buyback envelope is 15 billion kroner over up to 12 months, and the company now holds nearly 40.2 million of its own B?shares, equivalent to 0.9% of share capital.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Novo Nordisk?

Beyond the haemophilia story, Novo Nordisk is also advancing new delivery formats for semaglutide. The company signed a non?exclusive agreement with Vivani Medical to evaluate NPM?139, a semaglutide implant using Vivani’s NanoPortal technology. The deal carries no upfront payment, milestones or royalties — Novo Nordisk is simply testing the technology internally. Vivani aims to begin a first?in?human study around mid?2026, with Wegovy injections as the comparator.

In the UK, the oral version of Wegovy has launched for private patients, with a starter pack priced at £69 and a monthly top dose at £189. The National Health Service does not yet cover it. Clinical data show up to 17% weight loss over 52 weeks, and the UK medicines regulator has also expanded semaglutide’s approval to include advanced liver fibrosis. In the US, oral Wegovy has racked up more than three million prescriptions in just five months, the majority from first?time GLP?1 users.

Competitive pressure, however, does not let up. In South Korea, Eli Lilly’s Mounjaro generated sales of around 323.2 billion won in the first quarter, more than three times Wegovy’s 104 billion won. Novo Nordisk’s Korean subsidiary responded by merging its diabetes and obesity divisions this month — a move widely seen as a direct reaction to Lilly’s aggressive push.

Novo Nordisk at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

The haemophilia conference in Paris runs until 15 July, and investors will scrutinise further details on how the FRONTIER4 and explorer10 data could support future regulatory filings for Denecimig and a broader paediatric label for Concizumab. But the real test of the stock’s trajectory will come with the half?year results in the coming weeks, when the market will judge whether the core obesity and diabetes business can sustain the momentum that the recent analyst upgrades and pipeline news have generated.

Ad

Novo Nordisk Stock: New Analysis – 11 July

Fresh Novo Nordisk information released.
