Bad Bunny<\/a>\u2019s band have paid a tribute to Avicii<\/a> during their show in Sweden, breaking out a cover of \u2018Wake Me Up\u2019. Check out footage below.<\/p>\n

The slot comes as part of the Puerto Rican singer\u2019s huge world tour in support of his latest album \u2018Deb\u00ed Tirar M\u00e1s Fotos\u2019, which dropped last year<\/a>. The massive run of stadium and arena shows are taking him across Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.<\/p>\n

Following an unforgettable night at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium<\/a> at the end of last month \u2013 his only UK stops on the entire tour \u2013 Bad Bunny went over to Sweden this past weekend for a slot at the Friends Arena.<\/p>\n

Held on Saturday (July 11), the show saw the singer\u2019s band take a minute to pay tribute to late Swedish DJ, remixer, and record producer Avicii. Remembering the artist, who died in 2018<\/a>, guitarist Jos\u00e9 Eduardo Santana performed a rendition of Avicii\u2019s hit song \u2018Wake Me Up\u2019 on the cuatro \u2013 a traditional string instrument from Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n

The song cover put a distinctive spin on the dance classic, which was originally released in 2013 with Aloe Blacc<\/a>. Check it out below.<\/p>\n

Before the Sweden show, Bad Bunny used the second of his two shows in London to bring out Damon Albarn as a special guest to perform Gorillaz tracks \u2018Clint Eastwood\u2019 and \u2018Tormenta\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The collab comes as Bad Bunny features on the studio version of \u2018Tormenta\u2019, which featured on Gorillaz\u2019 2023 album \u2018Cracker Island<\/a>\u2019. Albarn had confirmed that they had joined forces back in 2021<\/a>, telling Warp in an interview<\/a> that he and the Puerto Rican superstar had linked up while in Jamaica.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in his Tottenham set on night two, Bad Bunny nodded to Oasis<\/a> with a \u2018Wonderwall\u2019 instrumental played on the Cuatro before he launched into \u2018Deb\u00ed Tirar M\u00e1s Fotos\u2019 track \u2018TURiSTA\u2019.<\/p>\n

The show in London was given a five-star review from NME, and praised as \u201ca reminder of the power of community\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n

Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Bad Bunny\u2019s Super Bowl halftime show was the most-watched of all time<\/a>. With the 2026 appearance, he became the first Latin male artist and the first artist performing primarily in Spanish to take the prestigious headline slot, playing a set that celebrated the history and diversity of Latin music styles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The set saw guest appearances from Lady Gaga<\/a> and Ricky Martin<\/a>, while Pedro Pascal<\/a>, Cardi B<\/a>, Jessica Alba and Karol G <\/a>were all spotted among the dancers.<\/p>\n

In terms of pure US television audience, it was recently revealed that the set drew 128.2million views<\/a>, putting it in fourth place in the all-time rankings \u2013 behind Michael Jackson<\/a> in 1993, Usher<\/a> in 2024 and Kendrick Lamar last year<\/a>.<\/p>\n
