{"id":130425,"date":"2026-07-16T11:53:17","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T11:53:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/130425\/"},"modified":"2026-07-16T11:53:17","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T11:53:17","slug":"airengy-to-develop-caes-facility-in-denmark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/130425\/","title":{"rendered":"Airengy to develop CAES facility in Denmark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.airengy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Airengy<\/a> (TASE:ARNG) has signed a partnership agreement with European salt and chemicals producer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nobian.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Nobian<\/a> to jointly develop a 2.5-gigawatt-hour compressed air energy storage (CAES) facility in Denmark.<\/p>\n<p>The facility is planned to be connected to an existing salt cavern in Denmark operated by Nobian. This collaboration will focus on evaluating Airengy\u2019s AirBattery technology.<\/p>\n<p>Under the agreement, Nobian will be responsible for performing the works relating to the salt cavern, including regulatory and permitting processes, local communication, stakeholder management, and related infrastructure. Nobian will remain the cavern\u2019s licence holder and operator.<\/p>\n<p>Airengy will be responsible for the AirBattery system design, air compression, and electricity generation using proprietary technology it developed.<\/p>\n<p>The project is part of Airengy\u2019s two-phase strategy.
