Wilde Porto, Cl\u00e9rigos: heritage meets modernity
Marking its second property in Portugal, Wilde Porto has recently opened its doors<\/a> between Rue De la Galeria de Paris and Pra\u00e7a Guilherme Gomes Fernandes and a stone\u2019s throw from the iconic tile-fronted baroque church, Igreja do Carmo. Set within a stretch of elegant townhouses, the property features 78 contemporary studios and apartments with options for two, three or four guests in the heart of the city\u2019s spirited dining, music, and nightlife district.
Situated along the Northwestern coast of Portugal on the banks of the River Douro, Porto is the country\u2019s second largest city. Entrenched in history, the destination has more recently evolved into a sought-after spot for modern travellers, digital nomads, and culture enthusiasts, all drawn to its rich heritage, vibrant arts scene, and status as the birthplace of Port wine.<\/p>\n

Interior design by Stephanie Barba Mendoza<\/a>, who spent a decade spearheading global projects at the renowned Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, bridges the gap between old and new, honouring 14th century Portuguese craftsmanship and the city\u2019s rich maritime history through a contemporary lens. This vision is brought to life through hand-painted tiles and ceramics paired with bespoke furniture and lighting commissioned from local craftsmen to honour the city\u2019s artisanal heritage.<\/p>\n

Highlights include wall murals handpainted across tiles by local makers New Terracotta in the cafe and bathrooms; a statement lacquer table with studded detailing and indoor-outdoor chairs from Mexican-based Casamidy; and bespoke wallpaper by British artist Anna Glover.<\/p>\n

Celebrating the flavours of northern Portugal, each menu at Wilde Porto brings people together with generous sharing plates and local favourites. An oasis from the buzz outside, Oscar\u2019s is a welcoming space, accented by tonal tiles and earthy marble counters, where specialty coffee is served alongside customary past\u00e9is de nata, the classic Prego, Portugal\u2019s much-loved steak sandwich and Porto wines by the glass. Championing Porto\u2019s local food scene, Wilde has partnered with Royale P\u00e3o Paix\u00e3o, the beloved neighbourhood bakery, bringing authentic artisan breads and pastries to the guest experience. The adjacent shop is filled with locally sourced products and artisanal treats to take home.<\/p>\n

O\u2019s Above is an inviting rooftop destination where the red and white striped bar supplies seasonally-changing cocktails, local wines and a menu of elevated bar snacks overlooking Porto\u2019s historic skyline. O\u2019s Below transforms from morning to midnight as a street-level caf\u00e9 come late-night bar offering a selection of breakfast favourites with expertly brewed coffee before pre-batched cocktails, local beers, and an evolving drinks list bring each day to a close.<\/p>\n

Guests can also expect a 24-hour reception, dog-friendly apartment options, laundry facilities and comfortable co-working spaces.<\/p>\n

Wilde Amsterdam Noord: the creative waterfront
Set overlooking the IJ River, Wilde Amsterdam opens on 30th September offering 120 spacious, design-led studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. Spanning eight fl oors within the striking new Yvie residential development, the property marks the first in Wilde\u2019s portfolio that has been designed expressly as a true extended-stay destination. Available for bookings of seven nights or longer, Wilde Amsterdam caters to the growing demand for flexibility, supporting guests whether they are in the midst of professional relocations, combining business with leisure, or simply seeking the opportunity to stay in the city longer.<\/p>\n

In Amsterdam, Stephanie Barba Mendoza\u2019s interiors reflect the district\u2019s artistic spirit and creative energy against the backdrop of sweeping waterfront views.
