The LEGO Group, in collaboration with Disney Entertainment, has unveiled the LEGO Ideas The X-Files (21369), a 1,478-piece set that invites adult fans to celebrate the iconic \u201890s sci-fi drama, available to LEGO Insiders from 1st August, and to all from 4th August.<\/p>\n

To mark the reveal, Emmy Award-winning actor, Gillian Anderson, stars in a cinematic mini-film tribute to the beloved series. With a nod to FBI Special Agent Dana Scully, Anderson is drawn into an investigation that gradually leads her to uncover the LEGO set itself, piece by piece \u2013 bringing the world of The X-Files into brick-built form for the fans.<\/p>\n

The LEGO Ideas\u00a0The X-Files\u00a0set recreates iconic moments from the series, centred on a detailed build of\u00a0Fox Mulder\u2019s office, paired with a forest clearing scene and a hovering UFO. The set includes 8 Minifigures: Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, Walter Skinner, Mr. X, Alex Krycek, Carl Busch, The Flukeman and a grey alien, allowing fans to recreate key investigations and encounters.<\/p>\n

The build is rich in authentic detail, including the \u201cThe Truth is Out There\u201d tile, an \u201cI Want to Believe\u201d poster, an X-Files dossier, a nod to his sunflower seed habit, and pencils in the ceiling of Mulder\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

The set also offers versatile display options. The forest diorama can be showcased on its own, while Mulder\u2019s office can be opened or partially disassembled to reveal interior details. The UFO is mounted on a transparent stand, creating the illusion that is hovering above the forest, but it can also be removed from alternative display arrangements, as a striking dual-display presentation.<\/p>\n

Anderson comments: \u201cI didn\u2019t expect to be stepping back into Scully\u2019s heels to investigate a LEGO set\u2026 it has been so much fun revisiting that world all these years later. This set is a wonderful celebration of the X-Files, and the fans who have kept its mystery alive. The level of detail is brilliant \u2013 there are so many little nods that fans will absolutely recognise \u2013 and as a LEGO fan myself, I love that people can now quite literally build their own X-Files moments at home.\u201d<\/p>\n

The LEGO Ideas\u00a0The X-Files\u00a0set was submitted as part of the LEGO Ideas \u201990s Nostalgia Challenge by Brisbane-based 3D Artist and Fan Designer Brent Waller (LEGO Ideas name: wetwired). LEGO Ideas invites fans to submit product ideas, which are then voted on by the community before being considered for production as official LEGO sets.<\/p>\n

Brent Waller comments: \u201cI was obsessed with\u00a0The X-Files\u00a0from the moment I first saw it in the \u201990s. I originally built Mulder\u2019s office back in 2014 while rewatching the series, and it grew from there as a personal project. I wanted to combine nostalgia, detail and storytelling to capture the atmosphere of the show \u2013 from Mulder\u2019s office to the forest and UFO encounter. I\u2019m thrilled to see it become an official LEGO set and hope it resonates with both long-time fans and new audiences.\u201d<\/p>\n
